Rules engine — customer UI
The customer-authored rules editor that sits on top of order-routing-v2. First time we're letting customers author their own routing logic; the UI is the differentiator vs. zapier and workato for the ops persona.
Goals
- A non-developer ops manager can author and test a 3-clause routing rule in under 5 minutes
- All rule changes appear in the audit log (compliance, see northwind-supply)
- Live preview against real-but-sampled traffic (no shadow infra)
Decisions
- use-protobuf-internal — affects the live-preview round-trip budget
- No modal for rule editing — inline expand-in-place. Anna's call; see 2026-04-08-design-review-rules-engine.
